On Saturday 10 August 2024, the practices held a Health & Wellness Day for our local community at the Salvation Army in Dunstable.
The event was a sell out, and we were so glad to see so many in attendance! The Deputy Mayor of Dunstable, Sally Kimondo, was also in attendance!
The practice welcomed outside organisations to provide informative talks, these included Carers in Bedfordshire, Dunstable Town Football Club, Andrew from the Prostate Cancer Support Group at the Luton and Dunstable (L&D) Hospital and Specialist Diabetic Nurse at the L&D Fran.
Practice clinicians, including our Physician Associates, Paramedic and Practice Nurse also provided talks about common health conditions, including cholesterol, blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
The practices provided extra clinicians to be on hand to provide health screening, and many of the attendees took up the opportunity to have their blood pressure and blood sugar checked.
We would like to thank all who attended the event as well as the Salvation Army for having us!
The practices look forward to hosting more events in the future.
