How To Make An Appointment

We offer multiple ways for you to book an appointment. To book and appointment you can.

• Visit the Surgery - Come into reception and we will be happy to help.

Except in an emergency patients are seen by appointments only.

You may ask to see any doctor but to maintain continuity of care, it would be preferable to see the same doctor whenever possible.

When your usual doctor is away on holiday, study leave or ill, you may be seen by one of the other doctors or by a locum doctor we may employ.

Cancellations

If you can’t keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible. 

You can cancel an appointment by telephoning the practice so that we can make the appointment available to another patient.

Telephone Consultations

The doctors and practice nurses are happy to give telephone advice. You may be asked to ring back or leave a contact telephone number if your doctor or practice nurse is not immediately available.

Telephone consultations are designed for medication review; follow up appointments or general problems where no examination is needed.

Home Visits

To request a Home Visit with the surgery please telephone 01582 663218.

If you require a visit on the same day you must telephone before 10.30am.

We would ask you to keep in mind that home visits are very time consuming and intended for those patients who are housebound or too ill to come to the surgery.

When the Surgery is closed, NHS Bedfordshire is responsible for provision of all out-of-hours care. Telephone 01582 663218 for an answer phone message telling you how to contact this out-of-hours service; please listen to the whole message and, if you are using a payphone, make sure you have enough money for more than one call. Medical advice can be obtained by telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647.

Alternatively, you can attend a “Walk-in Centre”: the nearest one is at 16-18 Chapel Street Luton.

Please reserve out-of-hours calls for emergencies only.

Test Results

You can request to have test results by calling the surgery on 01582 663218. Please telephone after 10.00 am.

Although some results do take longer to reach us, please allow at least seven days when requesting results. It is up to the patient to contact the surgery for test results.
